Best Road Cycling Rides to Col de Casardo

Tips

  • The Casardo pass is at an altitude of 1,094 meters. The road to it is narrow but incredibly quiet.

The coating is not always perfect, but there is nothing unpleasant about going through it, quite the contrary. The view is as usual always so wonderful.

  • The driveway to Bocca d'Savaccio begins practically at sea level in the plain of Aleria. To Tallone on a wide track, then on a narrow lane to Ampriani and Zuani and from here on narrow mountain road with lots of views up to the high point at 1094 meters far above the Tavignano valley. The route is only very weak ride, but beware, even with the bike is an encounter with one of the rare cars sometimes tight. The road quality is in parts more suitable touring bike than road bike (05/2018), which is not unusual for secondary routes on Corsica. However, with due caution, it is also passable by road bike, but you should not aim for speed records on the downhill.
