Grugatrasse Rail Trail

Very good and fast connection between Steele and Frohnhausen. There is a direct connection to the RS1. The section from Steele to Gruga is asphalted.

Good connection to the Gruga and the Rüttenscheid district. Unfortunately currently mostly not asphalted but unfortunately a "water-bound cover".

This means that it is quite dusty in dry weather and very slippery in the rain. Especially when it rained heavily, the upper layer was washed off the road. Stones sticking out of the ground are often left behind.

instead of the "TRASSE" you can also drive from EAST TO WEST (or vice versa) a little more leisurely through the St. Annental, the Mühlenbachtal and the Walpurgistal, and then return to the Grugatstrasse when you cross the A52 AUTOBAHNBRUCKE.
