From Amsteg, a moderately steep asphalt road leads steadily up to the hamlet of St. Anton (and then further into the Madderan Valley). The road is partly hewn out of the steep cliffs, with impressive views down into the Reuss Valley. Attention for passenger cars: limited travel times (stop) because of the post bus (crossing not possible in some places).
