A mill was built here in the 1860s by master baker Ewald Schwartz (!), but it burned down in 1905 and was rebuilt in its present form. At the time there were three mills on the island, with more at the southern end and in Kloster. This is a listed building and was purchased in 1964 by Prof. Helmut Trauzettel from the TU Dresden for himself and his family. See information board for more information.
