Slightly opposite Lindach on a mountain spur, the ruin Stolzeneck is to be explored. It is a former imperial castle and has a certain magic. One of the few castles that (still) has a real flowing fountain. The water tastes great and refreshing.
From Rockenau go some hiking trails, even a good bike (MTB probably rather ...) to be climbed forest road, which leads to Schwanheim further up. There are also some single trails there.

Very quaint - unfortunately extremely grown and also the main ruins locked (forestry 🙄). Nevertheless, barbecue area for everyone usable with wood from the forest 🔥 and the water from the well is really worth a break 🤩

The Stolzeneck is a former imperial castle and one of the few castles that have a year-round flowing fountain.
There is a barbecue by the fountain and nice shady places.
The shield wall is terrific and accessible from the inside, a madness building.
The rest of the facility is explorable, but quite expired.
Overall, a really nice, old and romantic castle.
It is also visited by many hikers who run the Neckarsteig.
To come here by bike is rather difficult, unless you have a decent MTB. The ascent from the Neckar Cycle Path is steep, but one is also rewarded by the beautiful and often deserted place and the silence here.
