When the school at Ammerländer Str.67 was built in 1911, many children took the footpath over the Esch to school. The path was paved in the 1960s. In 1992, the Westerholt Citizens' Association renovated the footpath and planted fruit trees.
A really beautiful path along fruit trees, cow pastures and corn fields. There is a covered rest area in the middle of the path.
