The canyon carved by Mission Creek is one of the few areas where you should pay attention to find your way through the sometimes junglelike vegetation. Some cairns along the way are very helpful for navigation.

Mission Creek is a reliable water source along the PCT and you will have access to the cool water several times while hiking up the canyon.
