Fantastic descent. Fairly technical, need to be comfortable on rock with lots of step downs. Plenty of grip even when wet.

Bottom end of Jacobs Ladder descent. Another spicy, rocky and fun blast down the hillside.

After a horrible climb up this is quite a technical descent, but there are easier lines. Only problem is walkers will likely be on them. Great taster of what to expect when you get to the full on Jacobs descent. Can be really busy at the weekends as you would expect, so be prepared to holla at ppl to let them know you’re coming. When you get to the the Cairn coming from Hayfield way, you want to go through the gate on the right. That’s the bridleway down you won’t generally get walkers on there. They will be on the footpath.

Much like the Mam Tor Road, the bridleway has cracked, broken & slid a bit leaving a few drop offs among the boulders & rocks.
