First church already mentioned in the first quarter of the 10th century; only mentioned in 1249 as a dependency of the abbey of Sint-Truiden. Originally dedicated to the Holy Trinity, from 1513 Salvator Mundi. Current church built in 1761 under Abbot Jozef van Herck, on the initiative of pastor Gisbert Snievaerts; expanded from 1905 to 1906 with two side aisles under the direction of architect H. Martens.
