With its 555 m of altitude, Sveti Socerb represents the highest point of the long hilly belt (Vipavska brda) that extends between Ajdovščina and Podnanos, dotted with small villages and rural areas and vineyards. It rises above the neighboring Podraga, offering a beautiful view of the upper Vipava Valley and the western slope of the Nanos.

At the top of the hill stands the small church of S. Socerb (San Servulus), a modest wooden cross, a table with benches and a metal box that holds a summit book.
