At the time of Duke Georg at the beginning of the 16th century, the stain cellar served as a town hall. This stain cellar is already mentioned in the Grace Letter of Frederick IV in 1425. The great fire of 1818 did not spare the city hall either. In 1904, a dance hall was added to the restored building. The entire complex received its present appearance through extensive renovations in the years 1994 to 1996.
