The Boquerón de Estena path is located within the Cabañeros National Park and is a paradise for nature lovers. A short route of about 4 km starting from the car park and without difficulty, it is an ideal itinerary to do it together with the whole family.

The path runs along the strait next to the Estena River, crossing one of the natural landscapes with the greatest diversity and peculiarity of flora in the area, allowing you to appreciate the wonderful rocky towers as soon as the route begins.

This route is ideal for its short route (just over 6 kilometers) and its low gradient, to be done with children, accompanied by the whole family. However, it is very beautiful: it runs along the banks of the Estena River, a riverbed in a magnificent state of conservation. in the Cabañeros National Park. The itinerary is flat, and along the way you cross the river on a wooden bridge. In addition to a very beautiful landscape, you can enjoy the typical Mediterranean vegetation (with holm oaks, cork oaks, gall oaks, cistus, etc.), vegetation associated with the banks of the rivers (ash trees, willows, etc.), trees such as the yew or the birch, with curious geological shapes caused by erosion and traces from the times when this area was covered by the sea, more than 400 million years ago, like those of a giant marine worm.
