    The Kurhaus Park in Göggingen, a district of Augsburg, is a historic park that surrounds the listed Göggingen Kurhaus. The park was designed based on the model of English landscape gardens and is an ideal place to relax and unwind all year round. It is characterized by its well-kept green spaces, mature trees, and winding paths that invite you to stroll and linger.

    The Göggingen Kurhaus, built between 1885 and 1886, is the only surviving multifunctional theater made of glass and cast iron from the Wilhelminian period in Europe. It was designed by the architect Jean Keller on behalf of Hofrat Friedrich Hessing and originally served as a recreational facility for the patients of Hessing's orthopedic clinic.

    Today, the Kurhaus houses the Park Theater, which offers around 180 cultural events annually, such as comedy, cabaret, concerts, operas, operettas, and shows, in the stunning ambience of the historic building.

    The Kurhaus Park is open to the public and offers visitors a green oasis in the heart of the city. The combination of historic architecture and landscape design makes the park a special place for culture and nature lovers.

        Two distinct landscape architectural styles can be found in this complex, which has become a rarity: a mixture of English landscape garden and French palace garden. The curved paths, wide open lawns, wooded islands, and scattered larger individual trees are laid out in the style of the English landscape garden. The baroque-style sections of the French palace garden are reflected, among other things, in symmetrical path designs such as the chestnut avenue and the axially aligned planting rondelles.
        The entire Kurhaus Park combines garden design elements from various eras into a unified ensemble from around 1890.
        Like the Kurhaus itself, it is a historicist complex and was restored according to original plans.
