You explore the valley of the Krekebeek, which, together with the Handzame valley, forms an eastern spur of the Yser basin. Three geographical regions meet here: the polders, the sand region and the sandy loam region. You cycle through the Bethoosterse Broeken to Koekelare. On the border with the Houtland you are at the highest point of the northern range of hills. You descend to Kortemark and continue to Werken. Via Houthulst and Klerken you return to Diksmuide.
