In the sixties of the 20th century, due to the great urban development of the city, a new lighthouse was built to replace the previous one. First, a small rectangular ashlar tower was built next to a house similar to the old lighthouse. However, in 1976, during the construction of the Paseo Marítimo, a new lighthouse was erected next to the old one.
