A beautiful footbridge built in 2015 to connect the Grand Large district to the beach of Malo-les-Bains. It has become a place for walks, allowing walkers and cyclists to pass between the port, the town and the beach in complete tranquility.

The construction of the Grand Large footbridge began in 2014 and will be completed in 2015. It was designed by the architect Brigit de Kosmi in order to connect the museum of the Fonds Régionales d'art Contemporains du Nord-Pas-de-Calais (FRAC) and the seaside resort of Malo-les-Bains. It also responds to the desire of the city of Dunkirk to open up the Grand Large district by offering a new place for walking and leisure.
