Jaegerthal is named after Adam Jäger and has industrial roots. He founded here in 1602 an iron hammer, which acquired the famous French industrialist family de Dietrich 1682. Today only the ruins of the first ironworks remind us of the industrial past. The small castle, the summer residence of De Dietrichs, is privately owned and can not be visited.
