Faunia is a botanical garden and zoological park, with an area of about 14 hectares, located in the district of Vicálvaro, Madrid (Spain). It is organized into areas that represent different ecosystems such as the jungle, the poles or the African forest. It is owned by Parques Reunidos, SA.
It was inaugurated on July 10, 2001 under the name Parque Biológico de Madrid. In 2002 the park was renamed Faunia, a name created by the philologist and writer Fernando Beltrán.5 The author of the project is Ricardo Novaro Bocco.
