In Mol-Rauw, near the border with Lommel, you can walk along the sand pits and forests of 't Rauw.
The sand pits are former sand quarries that were used in the past for the extraction of quartz, known as the famous Molse witte zand. The sand pits were completely transformed into a nature reserve, partly under the impetus of sand extraction company Sibelco.
