End of the 1980 the docklands were still a pretty worn down former industrial area. This tower was one of the first iconic buildings erected by Canary Wharf Group, who are still owning and developing the whole area today. If you have the chance to get a view from one of the upper floors it's really worth it (no public access unfortunately).

When built in 1991, One Canada Square was the tallest building in the UK. As of 2022 it is still the third tallest. The striking pyramid roof makes it a London landmark.
