    Mountain biking

There are two bridges over the Asseca river, a railway bridge measuring 104m long and a road bridge.

The original Asseca bridge was built to serve the old Roman road from Olisipo (Lisbon) to Bracara Augusta (Braga), on the stretch between Scalabis (Santarém) and Selium (Tomar). It was later transformed into a medieval road, later redesigned and designated as the royal road. The Portuguese-English army passed over it in 1810 in pursuit of General Massena's troops who were leaving the country after the 3rd French invasion.
