Chiesanuova is a fraction of San Donà di Piave. It rises on the left bank of the Piave Vecchia, between the towns of Intestadura and Caposile. The town church, dedicated to San Carlo Borromeo, was rebuilt in neo-Romanesque style following the destruction of the First World War. At the landscape level, it is possible to appreciate the natural state of the Piave Vecchia which flows gently and sinuously to the mouth, preserved over the centuries. The dense vegetation includes plane trees, white poplars, tree and shrub willows, locust trees and alders.
