At the entrance to the village there is a beautiful half-timbered place name sign from Holzhausen am Hünstein. It shows some things that Holzhausen is known for: e.g. the artistic half-timbering, the Hünstein tower, the Holzhäuser Vujelcher coat of arms and the year of the first mention (1251). A modern welcome sign stands right next to it. There is a bench on a small patch of grass across the street. A few steps further there is a stone with engraved writing that was set up for the 750th anniversary in 2001.
