If you want to fully experience the beauty and scale of Dover's White Cliffs, hike to St Margaret's Bay. This secluded little beach lies at the base of the bright white cliffs to the north east of Dover. You can reach it via a fairly steep cliff path but it's worth the effort to get to and from. Both Noel Coward and Ian Fleming spent a considerable amount of time here, so it's not a bad place to rest for a moment and whip out a Bond novel.
