Not far from this sign, a busy country road between Thuringia and Hesse crosses the state border and thus connects Felda and Andenhausen with the Tanner parts of Theobaldshof and Knottenhof.
Planned and newly laid out in the 1930s and still called Neu Schtross in the Rhöndörfer, the road was impassable like many others in the border area with the Federal Republic until 1989. Tavern came from Theobaldshof.
The “Neu Schtross” was opened to traffic in December 1990 and has served as an important and busy connection between Thuringia and Hesse since then. (from information board)
