This (closed) bridge used to carry the tracks of the Furka-Oberalp-Bahn (merged into the Matterhorn-Gotthard-Bahn) over the Rotten between Brig train station and the Naters stop.
This is also where the "red mile" begins on the route of the old railway line. It extends to Bitsch.
