Frassinello Castle, located in the Monferrato area of Alessandria, has ancient origins linked to its defensive function against the Saracens, with the first official mentions dating back to the 11th century (a diploma from Henry III). Characterized by a C-shaped structure, it was owned by the Counts of Nemours and underwent significant neo-Gothic renovations in the 19th century, preserving a frescoed noble wing.

Since June 2014 Frassinello and its Castle have become a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The castle, dating back to the 11th century, is finely restored respecting the canons of the time, hosts events and ceremonies but also has a B&B at medium-high prices.
If you are passing through, it is still worth a visit
