At the beginning of the 15th century, the house belonged to an iron hammer property and has been licensed for 400 years. For centuries, the old walls served as a relaxation area and rest house on the old trade route from Coburg to Erfurt. Here horses and coachmen were spared and oxen were harnessed to the carts to conquer the steep slopes of the Mühlberg.
Even today we try to continue the old tradition and to serve you with our quaint, rustic style as well as fresh and home-made Thuringian dishes typical of the region.
