End station of the Albtalbahn with a long history, once it was a steam-powered narrow-gauge railway, was then re-spun in the 50s and integrated as line A in the tram network Karlsruhe. Today the line is S1.
This station hall should be the old station hall from Baden-Baden, which is no longer needed.

End station of the Alb Valley Railway and bus station. The station building dates back to 1898. The railway system is in a very good condition.

The Albtalbahn terminus has been located here since 1898. The reception building and one of the goods sheds also date from this year.

In 1961 the gauge was changed to normal gauge.
The overall picture has been supplemented since 1978 by the historic station concourse of the former Baden-Baden city train station; it spanned all three platform tracks. Since 1979 the Albtal-Verkehrs-Gesellschaft (AVG) has been celebrating the so-called “Bad Herrenalber Bahnhofsfest” annually in August. The station also has a Baden water crane for the steam train journeys that are regularly carried out by Ulm's railway enthusiasts in summer.

The historical ensemble is complemented by a Swiss chime, which announces each arrival of a train, and an old two-winged shape signal.

Bad Herrenalb station is also the valley station of the Falkenburgbahn (inclined elevator), which connects the station with the Falkenburg Clinic.

The train station is right on the Alb. The Stadtwerke building on Bahnhofstrasse is also worth seeing.
