The Zicklacke is located approximately west of Illmitz, only a few hundred meters from the village north of the sea access road. There are viewing platforms in two places, some of which are wheelchair accessible.

The zig-zag area extends over an area of approx. 2 km (north / south) x 1.7 km (east / west).
