Run-of-river power plant from 1892, built by the technology pioneer Oskar von Miller. It is the oldest three-phase power plant operated in Germany. The three Francis turbines used in the power plant were installed during a 1910/12 modernization and are still operational today. From the small green area at the Amperbrücke you have a beautiful view of the entire complex.

The old Amper power plant is a really nice building - topp maintained. The mini-park next door invites you to linger, 2 benches and shadows and a beautiful view - what more could you want :-)
