The Bockum waterworks was built between 1908 and 1911 in the course of the strong population growth in Duisburg. The historic steam piston pumps are still in the old machine house and can be viewed at open days or at other events.
The waterworks is part of the industrial heritage route.

Listed neoclassical building with still preserved steam engines, which according to Wikipedia can be visited on the open monument day. It can also be rented for events. Bockum used to belong to Duisburg, so it is still owned by the Duisburg waterworks. Built 1910, closed 1989.
