The pavilion offers a sheltered place to rest.
The Ranzin Orchard Variety Garden was established in 2016 and is maintained by the Kunst und Natur e.V. Steinfurth (Art and Nature Association). It contains approximately 70 fruit varieties, including a walnut and a sweet chestnut. We process most of the fruit into juice.
Since 2021, orchard cultivation has been part of Germany's intangible cultural heritage and is always celebrated on the last weekend in April, when all the fruit trees are in bloom.
On November 8-9, 2025, there will be a large variety exhibition and lectures by the Pomologists' Association at the Pomeranian State Museum in Greifswald.
Also visit the Waldsaumgarten (forest border garden) in Steinfurth, where a wild herb meadow and garden beds are lined and interspersed with trees. Simply drive through the Karlsburg-Oldenburger Holz forest. Steinfurth is on the other side of this forest area.
