The fifteenth-century Via Mercatorum was replaced, at the end of the sixteenth century, by a new road: La Strada Priula. This road connected Bergamo and the Valtellina along the Brembano valley floor up to Passo San Marco. In San Giovanni Bianco the Strada Priula passed over the bridge with an arch that, still today, joins the banks of the Enna stream to the height of Palazzo Boselli, the crossing point between the streets.
