Included in the Byzantine Salento collection komoot.it/collection/1811756/-salento-byzantine - the Madonna del Pisello rock church. It is a small church that does not show evident Byzantine traces except for the dedication to the Madonna Odigitria frescoed on the altar and visible as soon as you cross the entrance threshold. However, I can say that I have never felt such a strong sense of openness towards others. That completely wide-open entrance door that even lacks a lock raises questions of no small importance regarding trust in others.
