In the city center of Oss you can still find a small remnant where the Oss from centuries ago can be seen: 't Gengske. This passage from the Hill to the Wal served as a church path during the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. At that time, the main Osse church was in the hands of the Protestants and the catholic Ossenaren went via 't Gengske to their (more or less) sneaky barn church on the Wal.
