Monte Sant'Angelo is the most mysterious and unusual place of the Gargano. The place has an ancient history made up of religions and cultures that have been clashing and replacing each other for millennia. It shows traces of pagan, Byzantine and Catholic civilization and is considered a bridge between East and West.
