In the pretty public park which faces the town hall and which runs along the Bocq, do not miss to admire the old “maka” which decorates the small public park. This “hammer”, operated by hydraulic energy from the Bocq, once made it possible to work iron. The maka maintains the memory of the time when Yvoir and the Bocq valley was one of the metallurgical centers of Wallonia (from the 15th to the 18th century).
