Hiking
The name only refers to the brick manufacture that took place here from the 14th century. In 1650, the then city governor of Roermond, Colonel François Bitot, bought the site. He built a mansion with a courtyard on it. The drainage canals and the square tower with undulating tent roof make it look like a castle. In the 19th century, the mansion with the accompanying lease agreement remained.
