Thal Castle, embedded in a park, is only visible through the high railings on Talstrasse. The baroque mansion was built in 1758-59 by the Eupen cloth merchant Michael de Grand Ry. From 1945-53 it was a hotel-restaurant, then a nunnery and then a children's home. Today the castle belongs to a German businessman.
