Best Hikes to Fallen Oak of Brujilices

Tips

  • The Oak "Tumbao" is one of the trees cataloged within "singular trees of Cantabria" and it is a "Cajiga" (Quercus Robur) about 25 meters high and approximately 250 years old, its curiosity is that one day full of strong wind blew snow on its branches and the tree fell because it could not withstand so much weight, but instead of being its end and by keeping some of its roots rooted in the ground, it was able to survive and new branches sprouted. Today 4 of its branches are 4 rootless trees formed from the original trunk and filling Brujilices with beauty, within the Vados River Forest.
