The Keyartmolen is a watermill, located at 4 Keyartstraat in Tongerlo, on the Itterbeek near the Zuid-Willemsvaart.The mill, which functioned as a flour mill, was first mentioned in 1139. The mill was then leased by the son of the Graaf van Loon to Aernout van de Keyart. For centuries the mill was owned by this family, but in 1681 Jean d'0ssorio de la Peina, in the service of the Spanish king, turned out to be the owner. The mill was rebuilt in stone in 1850. In 1923 the undershot wheel was replaced by a turbine. Until 1985, the mill operated on water power, after which it was occasionally still milled electrically. In 2012, the mill is not in working order, but restoration is being considered, with the aim of generating electricity.A bed and breakfast was set up in the mill farm in 2010.
