Until 1978, the beautiful and idyllic Gardeweger Mühle stood here. Finally owned by the city of Remscheid for use as a tourist restaurant, the mill and the building were demolished due to inefficiency. The two ponds, which also served as fire-fighting ponds for the Gardeweg district, were then levelled.
