The Hermitage Palace is a royal pleasure palace in Jægersborg Dyrehave and is located at the highest point of the Hermitage plain. King Christian VI had the castle built between 1734 and 1736 according to plans by the architect Lauritz de Thurah. The castle was used by the Parforcees hunting parties in Dyrehave.
