The 5.8 hectare and well-kept museum complex includes two buildings from an Althof site from around 1600 and 1859, which document the former rural living and working on the Swabian Jura plateau. A large depot offers additional exhibition space and the old, functional smithy is not just for enthusiasts. Particularly noteworthy are the idyllic outdoor areas, which were created as a historic cottage garden with rare cultivated plants, medicinal and aromatic herbs and as an agricultural shovel. Impressive and diverse vegetation can be viewed here throughout the museum season.

The farmhouse museum in Ödenwaldstetten is open from March to October on Wednesdays, Sundays and public holidays.
