The viewpoint of Las Monjas gets its name from its proximity to the convent of the Monjas Comendadoras in the city of Alcántara. It is located at one of the gates of the walled enclosure and offers beautiful views of the Roman bridge over the Tagus River, the Arab citadel and part of the walls.
