  • Lake Pantano was created after the construction of the dam in 1956. The lake is used by the electricity operator, Enel, to generate electricity for the region. The wall is 59m high and about 400m long and can be entered. On the shore of the lake there are old and new buildings of the power plant.
The caretaker's house and some service rooms (control cabins) including the cable car station are attached to the permanently manned dam. They are not accessible to the public.
