The best starting point to start tours in the protected area is the Lillas river car park, one of the few places allowed to park vehicles. The trail leaves the car park through the meadows of the Lillas River, following the white milestones of the Senda de Carretas. The path follows the bank of the stream along the edge of the pine forest to the wooden bridge of the Carretas stream and begins the climb up the slope of the ravine.
