On the edge of the imposing Promontorium of the Sella del Diavolo, nestled between the clear sky and the sparkling sea, sits the mysterious Torre del Poetto, a witness to times gone by. With its jagged silhouette, it tells stories from an era in which such towers served as sentinels on the coast.

History dates it back to 1597, when it was built from the region's sturdy limestone. The ravages of time have not spared it, and today it appears in two separate parts, broken along its vertical axis. But these fractures and scars only make her more impressive. Its tronco-conical structure, once crowned with a dome, rises majestically and offers panoramic views that are simply incomparable.

From its height, 87 meters above sea level, the tower ruins overlook the small harbor of Marina Piccola and the golden sands of Poetto Beach. And if you decide to attempt the slightly more challenging climb, you will be rewarded with a sight that will leave you speechless: from the small platform on the smaller piece of tower, you can see the scattered watchtowers that guard the Gulf of Cagliari , reaching from Mezza Spiaggia to the Isola dei Cavoli.
