Schongau is located on the west bank of the Lech in the so-called Pfaffenwinkel - an area that owes its name to the numerous sacral buildings that exist here. Noteworthy is the beautiful old town of Schongau with its almost completely preserved city wall. Through this gate you enter the listed jewel.
